Well it wouldn’t be a Saturday night without a little dress and a glass of gin, would it?
My girl and I did just that, at Enrique’s School for Bullfighting – odd name huh? Let’s keep things simple and call it Enrique’s.
Enrique’s is a pop up bar, located on Beaufort street – it is vibrant, warm, friendly and extremely welcoming – aren’t you Enrique, you cheeky thing.
So, what’s the go?
Well, you pick your gin, you then pick your tonic and after all that stressful decision making you pick your garnishes.
If that is all too hard, you can just go with one that Enrique has suggested (or a completely different drink) he has it all covered and just wants you to sit back and relax.
G and I were a little spoilt with the help from a young gentleman by the name of Phillip, who did a clever job of whipping up some gin-tastic drinks for us – yes, I was one of those ohhhhh I can’t decide, pick for me customers. All he had to do was include grapes…. because who doesn’t love a grape?!
We entertained ourselves whilst Phillip designed our master pieces.
G was given Kaffa Gin, with white grape fruit and lemon, we decided it tasted very much like soft drink (soda for you yanks)
I was knighted with G Vine Gin (comes from Grapes you see… so clever) with grapes and fresh lime. We were pretty pleased with our gin drinks and we sat back and sipped away and sent potentially inappropriate snapchats – sorry!
My phone was hijacked by Phillip and a few selfies were taken – this is where I can introduce you to James, hi James! As an apology, we were given a gin-taste-test… I am sure you can imagine how that went down… if you can’t imagine, I will let the photos show you.
We continued to chat, laugh and enjoy our time at Enrique’s until our glasses were empty and we knew it was time to head on off and let Enrique spend some time with other patrons.
If you’re gin fans… even if you’re not I can highly recommend Enrique’s for a pop in drink, it is a pop up bar after all.
Fun Gin Fact: Did you know that there are 35 different types of tonic? Gintonicers, off to Spain we go!
